Here at Broadford Primary School, the most amazing thing is happening. Simon Cowell & Alisha Dixon are hosting Broadford’s Got Talent. Just kidding, it is our Head Teacher Mr Drakes and our Deputy head Mrs Nicholls.

There are auditions all next week during playtime & lunchtime so that when the real show comes closer the children won’t be nervous. There are a range of talents such as: Group Singing, Solo Singing, Group Dancing and many more. The judges are going to be the teachers.

We hope that all of our contestants have a great time as well as enjoying themselves! The competition will be on the last week of term which is Friday 1st June then they have 9 days off to relax because it would all be over.

Year 5’s Theseus And The Minotaur Performance

On Thursday 24th May 2012, Broadford Primary’s Year 5 students spent two days with actors Jill and Bill. The Year 5’s learned loads of acting skills and had lots of fun. Also, they practised and performed an ancient Greek play called Theseus and the Minotaur.

Although this sounds very exciting, it was hard work as we only had a matter of days until they perform this to the school. There were the characters to sort out and the lines to practise. We also had to learn the song that the unfortunate men and women had to sing in the boat.

Also, we asked some of the Year 5’s and the audience questions about the play.

What was your favourite part of the play?

Thomas -Year 5- said: “my favourite part of the play was the song that we sung.”

David -Year 5- said “it was a great experience because I learnt how to improve my acting talents.”
