After school clubs:- Karate

Sensie Danny has been  working extremely hard with the karate club. The concentration and dedication the children have been showing is really paying off and shows in their moves. The group have had to learn new terminology here is just a few things: 
Numbers

Bows
. Seiza -  Kneeling down
. Shormen  ni rei - Bow to the front
. Sensei ni rei -  Bow to the sensei

Well done! Summer rose.

Wow! Just look at this, another fantastic lighthouse that has been made at home to share in Aspen class. Made from cardboard tube, card and paper. Summer Rose has very carefully then drawn the lights at the top and brickwork to decorate.

After school clubs:- arts & crafts (reception)

This afternoon the art & crafts club joined in with the recent popular activity of creating 'Loom band' bracelets, rings, etc. The children's concentration, hand eye co-ordination and fine motor skills were essential for creating some great pieces.

After school clubs;- Sewing

Meet 'Julie and pretty',  these are the names given to the newly completed ponies by Danielle and Aimee. 

The sewing club are now using their cutting, tacking and sewing skills to make a variety of pocket pets.

After school club:- Basketball

This afternoon started in the hall where the basketball club have been practising their three throws and lay up. They then moved outside and in their chosen teams began  a match. After a while Mr Clark asked the teams to think about what areas the other team were performing well and what could they do better, including dribbling,passing, moving, defending, which led to a more competitive game. Mr Clark remarked on how Samantha had show particularly good skills in both attacking and defending.
