Ash Class, PSHCE - New Beginnings
In PSHCE this week Ash class have been getting to know each other and all of the new faces in our school. After playing a 'get to know you game' the children were shown some examples of totem poles. We discussed the meaning of totem poles and then the children were sent off in groups to makes their own, which would represent them and the gifts that they have as individuals. They compared their gifts and talents to that of an animal and understood that each time they look at that animal it would remind them of what they are good at. Reciprocity was the key to this activity, working well in groups and organisation.
