After school club:- Dance yr Rec/1/2

Mrs Edwards the dance teacher along with Mrs Clements put the dance club through their paces this afternoon as they began learning the new routine. The children joined in enthusiastically with lots  of jumping, swaying and even some floor work. 

After school clubs:- Hama Beads

The children in the Hama Beads club firstly chose what shape or pattern they would like to create. They then got to work placing the beads onto the templates which requires extremely steady hands, great hand eye coordination and patience. Bailey James explained how when this was done it had to be " ironed by the grown up, so they don't fall off" and then we can "take them home!"

After school clubs:- Choir year 3/4/5/6

The choir came together this afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed learning some new songs. One of which was the popular Beatles Classic 'hard days night', followed by 'Mr Blue sky' originally sung by the 'Electric Light Orchestra'. 

After school clubs:- Gardening

Although the weather was not so great this afternoon, this did not deter our gardening club from getting stuck into the important job of weeding. Everyone worked hard to clear as much as they could. Danielle was keen to check with Mr Seabrook that she was pulling the correct plants. 

After school club:- Multi sports

The multi sports club have been practicing gymnastics this afternoon. Using various equipment including the soft play apparatus, landing mats and stools. The emphasis was on rolling, balancing and jumping with a focus on control and landing. 

After. School clubs:- Art & Crafts year Reception

Reception

As the Art & Crafts clubs have always proved to be so very popular, it was decided to have two clubs running each week. This afternoon it was the turn of the reception children, who were keen to use their fantastic listening skills to follow Miss Goodings instructions on how to make ' pipe cleaner people'. Concentration, good fine motor skills & hand eye coordination were essential for this. The children had great fun and were extremely pleased with their results.

Football year 1/2

As usual the energy and enthusiasm shown by the year 1 and 2 children was immense. As the football club kicked off for the summer term it was great to see some new players having been signed for this term. The focus for this afternoon was to teach individuals the importance of how to play as a team. A roll on roll off program was used, also the small goals were used which is great for practising accuracy.
