Boxing club

This week in boxing club the children were allowed just one minute at each of the activities before it was time to move on to the next. The activities included: press ups, line jumps, burpies, step ups, mountain climbs, squats and tricep dips! All of them just as important as one another as the children strove to improve their fitness levels to then be able to spar using the 'mitts' and 'punch bags'. Resilience was the name of the game this week to enable everyone to keep up with this level of fitness.

Loom bands Yr 3/4/5/6

Making cherry's was the challenge this afternoon for the loom bands club. It was important to listen to the instructions carefully. Firstly, each club member had to collect a loom, one green and eleven red loom bands. As you can see the club was hive of activity and the cherries will hopefully be completed in next weeks club as it was quite a task! Giulia remarked "I think it's challenging using the loom, I feel it's easier to use your hands and fingers."

After school club - Dance

In dance club the children are certainly having lots of fun learning a new style of dance and are enjoying the new moves! They worked well as a team as well as splitting in to groups for parts of the dance and then coming back together for other parts. They are learning to change direction with different groups working opposite each other.

KS1 Choir

The junior choir were in fine voice this afternoon as they warmed up their voices with a familiar song of 'Alice the camel' including all of the actions. Following this they learnt a new song 'come dance with me' which everyone enjoyed. They had previously practised 'one and a million' which again included actions, Mrs King commented on how impressed she was at how the whole choir remembered their moves!

Creative Colouring - Yr 1 / 2

Lots of creativity was evident this afternoon as the group discussed which patterns, shapes and design they would choose for their own masterpiece. They divided their page into sections and added their patterns which they then coloured.
