After school club - Cookery Y1&2

This week the children have been making cornflake cakes. Firstly, and most importantly, they had to work together to weigh out the ingredients, which included; 100g cornflakes, 110g chocolate and 50g butter. They  melted the chocolate in the microwave, added the butter until it melted too and mixed together. Next they stirred in the cornflakes and carefully spooned into paper cases. After that they completed a healthy food word search as, although this weeks recipe, as everyone agreed is a tasty treat, last week the children made a healthy fruit salad.
