After School Clubs:- Cookery Yr 5/6

The cookery club are encouraged to be as independent in their work as possible therefore, Mr Borrell has introduced a card system whereby if the card shown on the table is green the children are fine, yellow indicates that they may need some assistance and red that they require urgent assistance. On  the menu this afternoon was Chilli con carne. The chefs began their preparation by gathering their utensils and ingredients. Chopping the onions proved to be a difficult task as a lot of the group suffered from their eyes watering. George asked Mr Borrell if he knew of any ways to prevent this. Although, Mr Borrell had heard of many the strangest was to "stand on one leg whilst you chop". Melisa, Katherine, and Sharna described the aromas in the room as "mouth watering". Sam, Razvan and Kieran agreed that the taste was "delicious" and Molly and Sophie thought the chilli was "tasty".
